Borrowed Time is the first feature film of director Choy Ji, shot by Shuli Huang (Guangzhou). The film had its world premiere in the New Currents competition at the 28th Busan International Film Festival and was later presented in the Bright Future selection at the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2024.
